I hope the trip and visit go really well (welcoming your first grandchild sounds wonderful). We had two air filters with us on the Spirit and stayed put in our cabin (and crossed our fingers).

That sounds really interesting. Will keep an eye on that. Thanks

Thankyou - we tried really hard to keep my immunocompromised mum as safe as possible so we could enjoy our journey with her. Very relieved it worked! Masking for long days and overnight in the hospital was the toughest bit of it.

I haven’t heard of a Plus Life - will look it up :) I just feel for my youngest kid who has had so much of her childhood impacted by covid. I think we’re getting close to the point where we may have to reduce precautions next year so that she can broaden her horizons socially. It’s a tough decision.

3 months consecutive (mainland road trip with my tween daughter and 70 plus mum) - and another month (a few months later) in Canberra supporting my older daughter while she had surgery. So 2x return ferry trips, stays in hospital and cabin accommodation .

We're covid free still too (fingers crossed), despite travelling away from home for 4 months out of last year. We are also hoping something like this will be our pathway out of the precautions we take - including masking etc. Fingers crossed!

Just an awful thing to do and a horrible act of discrimination.

Hi Julie - I'm a follower of yours from Threads who is very happy to find you here. I'm also a Mum who is homeschooling her youngest child, & can't thank you enough for the positive impact reading 'The Brave Learner' has had on our learning adventure. Best wishes to you from Tasmania (lutruwita).

Had an appointment with a GP (in Margate) this morning who told me there's a lot of COVID going around at the moment.
