While I was sitting on the ground in the Little Colorado HMA in Wyoming watching some bachelor stallions bounce around, I noticed movement at ground level, off to my right...this cute lil Wyoming ground squirrel was studying me!

I met this little wild horse family in the Lost Creek HMA. The stallion is SPICY and ultra-alert. They were traveling in the orbit of appaloosa stallion Looking Glass and his gray stallion colleague's band, but did not feel comfortable enough to actually join those bands. #photography #wildhorses

A look back to my visit to Pixley Falls in NY: I had made an emergency "maybe an aurora tonight!" trip from Philly to the Adirondacks on the chance of some colorful night sky, but it didn't show up. After a night photographing regular night sky I visited this waterfall the next morning. #photography
