A page from JeMiChi's picture book about a fantasy pirate crew. The crew has just discovered a child (kenku, a raven-like flightless bird-person) inside a barrel they picked up from the sea. The four members of the crew look cautiously curious and surprised by this discovery, while the child looks frightened and holds a tiny oar for comfort. The crewmembers visible in the illustration include two dwarf-girls, an ocelot-like cat-person, and a man with horns. The most notable feature of the bird-child are her odd eyes, left one being yellow, while the right one is sky-blue. This art appears in the book called "Driftwood Becomes a Pirate". An illustration of two leopard sharks swimming among kelp in the ocean. An illustration of a merchant couple riding in their horse-drawn carriage in a medieval fantasy setting. The European Mink, locally known as Vesikko in Finland, is a critically endangered mustelid (the family of weasels and otters and such) and sadly extinct here in Finland.

European polecats, the wild relatives of pet ferrets. These are really fun creatures to draw, so I enjoyed this a lot. ^^

There can never be enough
Parrot gryphons loosely based on pearly conures, but huge, flying over the sea with riding gear and pirate accessories. These were made for a contest to create a mount for a game. A sand-colored gryphon is stretching with its tail pointing up and its forelimbs forward. A dark brown gryphon is leaping through the air with its wings extended to soar, but its bird feet ready to strike. A parrot gryphon based on a pearly conure with a basket full of fruits and vegetables.

Also, the game of tetris to fit everything in the suitcases (I normally take only one, but now it was two because I knew I'd have help on the way), and then to get the suitcases in the train. Fun times! x'D
One good thing about the artist market on Sundays is that there is plenty of time to pack ^^
