probably because he is essentially a DH. You like to have DH's be able to handle both RHP and LHP.

100%. And I could see the owners of those respective teams having concerns. I'm not sure the combined attendance for the two teams increases with this. It might actually decrease.

Agree with that. Guess the only difference is no rest or maintenance days. That’s where Jays have advantage in the regular season because next man up is pretty good.

It has been a very cool 26 man approach. Not to be negative, but would be interesting to look at similar recent teams and see how they fared in the playoffs when you are rolling out your best nine every day.
