I have no sympathy for service members who followed blatantly and objectively illegal orders, particularly not flag officers who absolutely know better.
This will be unfair bc Hegseth will get a pass, not bc the SMs won’t.
And, FWIW, I doubt the pardon will fully protect Pete from what’s coming.

The failure in Afghanistan was to reduce the effort there of rebuilding and go to Iraq. Had the would spent 10% of the money that was spent in the war in Iraq on Afghanistan things would likely be very different.
