Can it be a double whammy this afternoon V Slovakia for my Northern cousins ?

Dublin is my home town, both goals scored by a Dubliner yee ha

Oh, yeh, I don’t understand how Ronaldo gets on that team as his work rate is even worse than his last Man U stint, keeping younger players out. He deserved that red

Limiting VAR’s involvement is intentional, but three-four people in a room not isolated from each other’s decision is a psychological joke. I would replace these individuals with technology

There doesn’t have to be a conspiracy to be a pattern and on two occasions it had a huge impact on our Prem title positioning. Human, yes, but humans striving for excellence is not something I would associate with Prem officiating. The concept around VAR’s responsibility is inept, but intentional

David, as usual thorough. I was thinking that the figures on the low side can also be partly explained by the performance of players around him but how do we pull out those numbers. Taking out the real Madrid numbers, what worked at real madrid. In some games i’ve seen a lack of openness from others

It was a cracking goal, the letter on receipt will go into the PGMOL pile to which the outcome is always one sided, sorry but….we know on at least one occasion, we contributed to you losing the league by a slim margin of 1 point, no recourse for justice or fairness just bland pointless platitudes

Whatever our views and irritation for that matter, we wish them well in that they find a methodical way through these challenges. I genuinely feel for them all, they are good people, highly skilled and well meaning and we see but the tip of the iceberg as fans. 50 years a fan, I remain positive

At the weekend, wrong tactics, but changed nothing when we saw it didnt wk. We allowed Mo to have the shit pressed out of him and on many occasions stood there looking. City kept repeating attacks up the wing, and we gave them space. Im hopeful we get this right but we have fallen on our own sword
November 10, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Yeh, I hear the criticism about Wirtz, and I look at the game and for the vast majority I see poor movement off the ball. He is breaking his bollox moving around trying to create and there been so many times that we are static, allowing themselves to be marked. Dont get me going about the Press
November 10, 2025 at 5:25 PM
We do alot of farting around at a slow pace, trying to plop it onto the back post. Even when we counter against a team outa shape, we are general so slow that it allows them to reset, so the set-up (gameplan) and style of play along with all of the other changes and injuries = a tactical shit show
November 10, 2025 at 4:59 PM
It’s hard as a fan to properly attribute all of the causes at any one time as we see the tip of the iceberg, but we see repeating relapses on the field
November 10, 2025 at 3:05 AM
Exactly, but I would add, that (a) initial game plan was not appropriate (b) we didn’t change the game plan when we saw it was not working (c) we relapsed to 3 games back, no effort, no intensity, slow, no physicality and no coordinated press. The chaos, injuries aside is internally created

I’ll quote myself “n this game a goal might have lifted us, but what is this start slow mentality, luck and better refereeing is not a game strategy
November 10, 2025 at 2:17 AM
You are willfully misinterpreting what I said. The refeering might have been an in game problem, but we never set up to win this game, strategically or from an intensity or football intelligent perspective. We got handed our arses on a plate and there were no strategic changes to our game plan
November 10, 2025 at 2:15 AM
Equally, there are lots of interacting issues not one
November 10, 2025 at 2:09 AM
I didn’t say that, look again, I said a goal might of lifted us. Better refereeing and luck is not a strateg.
November 10, 2025 at 2:08 AM
I might of seen is winning this but it would pure luck not out of having an active strategy that adapted to the game Man City were playing. If you keep trying the same thing and expect the different outcome when the facts show you differently
November 10, 2025 at 2:02 AM
If what is true?
November 10, 2025 at 1:58 AM
There was luck with that first goal, but the goalie was also riveted to the spot, didn’t even respond and not protected by Konate. Third goal, why is he so far off his line. Equally, why have we let him shoot, back to the loosey goosey defending of 3 games ago with no press/tackling of note
November 10, 2025 at 1:55 AM
In this game a goal might have lifted us, but what is this start slow mentality, luck and better refereeing is not a game strategy. You have to start these games in the right frame of mind, turn up with the right intention,
intensity. It was straight back to 3 games ago, never in the right place
November 10, 2025 at 1:50 AM
We have no real way of playing and a game plan that keeps changing game to game but cannot change in a game when we have problems that are glaringly obvious. He relies on individuals to change a game, rarely changing tactics, formation or approach. We cannot be more physical, more intense ?
November 10, 2025 at 1:43 AM
We didn’t buy strategically to strengthen a squad, we went mad and we let some seriously strong players go. Injuries, fitness, intensity aside, our bedding in of new players, ignoring key players for new and just ignoring some like Chiesa is all over the map leading to inconsistency.
November 10, 2025 at 1:39 AM
Unfortunately, even though I would agree and I’d add that the penalty was utter bollox. We started too slowly and had a lack of intensity and real intent. I didn’t believe with that strategy we could win as we played directly into Man City’s hands. We changed nothing really to counter it
November 9, 2025 at 10:47 PM
Performance and attitude has to be addressed for some players; there cannot be constant excuses and the same is going to happen tactically. Where is this balance? We clearly outside of effort got this completely wrong.
