An "explosive eruption" occurred at the summit vent of Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island on Monday afternoon, December 9, 2024, according to Phivolcs. The eruption generated a large plume that rose rapidly to 3,000 meters above the vent and drifted west-southwest. (🎥: @phivolcs_dost)
