He was one of the first to read The Uncool, and he summoned all those great spirits of family and our shared musical heroes in our magical night at Benaroya Hall.

The band’s power-struggles lead to some big changes. Towards the end of recording, Dave Abbruzzese was fired, Jack Irons was hired, and Mike McCready entered treatment for alcohol addiction.

They had the ten songs from their one album, so full sets included rousing, rocking covers, like Led Zeppelin’s “Achilles Last Stand,” the Cure’s “Fascination Street” and Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.” They also played tunes by Mother Love Bone, Mad Season and CC’s solo career.
