Gallus granny interested in glass, graves and gardens. Perthshire. Once a History teacher. Ancient alumna of University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde (Jordanhill) and the OU. RAMC camp follower for 33 years. Photos all mine.
When I researched a charity in Perth during WW1 for a series of lectures years ago, one of the leading volunteers from back then lived there.

Found the old photo I have of Cairnies, where Birch stayed. It’s part of Glenalmond College.

We heard the noise but saw
nothing. A822 supposedly closed at the Bishop’s Bridge but presumably they didn’t want to take the detour via narrow back roads.

Once was pulled up for using ‘furth of’ in an OU essay. Obviously the marker was not a Scot!

Haven’t been up Ben Lomond since I was 17! Rather a long time ago.

Unfortunately not. We visited the Harz often when we lived in Germany but have never seen one.
