Definitely, influencing may seem like “posting pictures” for uninterested outsiders, but it is a much more complicated set of social practices

Influencers often get these trips for free/with a discount, and the costs of being exposed for faking photos can be much higher than a bill for a fancy dinner, so I doubt gen AI will meaningfully “disrupt” this business. Stock photography on the other hand…

The majority of people also do not cosplay online, or produce content on an industrial scale. I think it's fascinating that the incentives provided by social media platforms (ability to game algos + revenue sharing) resulted in the global south becoming a main source of viral right-wing content

The name is a bit silly, but I admit that I'm cautiously optimistic about the idea: building ties between distant member states (for example, Poznań, where I live, will cooperate with Moldova) and making access to chips bought for "factories" more of a common good sounds interesting in principle
