This is my favourite war poem by the great Wilfred Owen. Posting as a timely reminder for those who think bloodied conflict is just something on a screen or something to be glorified. Take a quiet moment and recite it out loud. Slowly.

Agreed! Like that time when my 3 youngest delighted in tormenting me constantly with their terrifying robot spider. Every 5 mins there it’d be. This occasion went to race in the loo, immediately peed myself, screaming blue murder. Finessing hard! They thought it was awesome. Homeschool hair brats
