I keep asking myself what their motivation is? Overturning Roe makes sense from a conservative Catholic POV, but making themselves irrelevant? My only conclusion is that there is some combination of greed & kompromat driving their collusion in the dismantling of the United States.

I don’t like the idea of either company buying Warner Brothers, but Paramount getting it would be dangerous.

Me too. I added in Extra Strength Tylenol too, so I’m super autistic.

Why her? My guess is that she had a bumper stickers that they didn’t like. Probably something about healthcare being a human right, to be kind, coexist, … These people are evil.

I worked with a libertarian who didn’t think the government should do much of anything beyond defense. Local fire departments? Citizens can do it. Call out the bucket brigade for a high rise — even a low rise would burn down.

I remember a news report in the early stages of the Afghanistan war where the reporter said that for some of the young men, shooting at people was like an FPS game. Add white supremacy to the mix, and you end up with a morally bankrupt military.

My dad was in the Navy during WWII. My brother was in the Navy during Vietnam. I was raised to revere the Navy. There have been so many disillusioning incidents over the years, but this moral injury has rocked me.

I went to a 2016 Minneapolis caucus. There were a couple of Somali men & several women. They were all very nice. Hillary supporters. It was clear that the women were expected to follow one man’s direction. It was unsettling — especially given the candidate.

Millions of Americans are being killed by cocaine? @deanobeidallah.bsky.social just talked about this statistic in relation to the pardoned Honduran ex-president. Cocaine deaths went from 5K/yr before the guy took office to 28K. So not millions killed and not by Venezuelans in little boats.

That’s the problem. The infant can’t choose to get vaccinated or who they are exposed to. I know of people taking 3 week old babies out to restaurants. That is not safe. Unfortunately it is going to take more babies dying to get people to realize how dangerous infectious diseases are.

Overly broad statement, but, unfortunately, not as overly broad as I would hope. There are some fighters in the Senate — just not enough.

The healthier the food, the more expensive it is. Everyone complaining about SNAP benefits should try living on $6/day for a week. I bet that, out of habit, they stop to get a latte & pastry on their way to work only to realize they can’t eat for two days to make up for their over budget breakfast.

That’s probably not the celebration they think it is. Everyone needs to get their hoses out… just in case.

Hope not because they won’t have enough players for Spring training after ICE arrests all of the Hispanic players.

People who think baseball is boring don’t understand baseball. I admit some games are indeed boring, but I think of baseball as a chess match with people.

I’m the native San Franciscan whose favorite teams are 1. Giants and 2. Dodgers. My parents did not approve — especially when the Dodgers moved to number 1 during the Tommy Lasorda era. Two historic teams with great accomplishments. (Football is another story… Niners forever.)
