Please call your electeds so anti-LGBTQIA+ groups don't use this Act to silence and weaponize against LGBTQIA+ youth, or use it to release abortion info.

tl;dr: Do you trust your state Attorney General not to abuse the Act against people?
Bumping this up... the Kids Online Safety Act is racing forward again. This bill could be used to censor the internet and drive out LGBTQIA+ people as well as abortion info.

Even if we can't stop it, we can get the Senate to make it much less shitty. (e.g., no blank check for state AGs to sue.)
Bad news... Snap, the maker of Snapchat, has endorsed the Kids Online Safety Act. They probably think the costs of compliance will drive upstart competitors out of business.

The good news? We can still fight. At the very least, the Senate could make the bill less awful.

I once illustrated a story for A.J. Fitzwater in Lackington's! It is a remarkable and delightfully weird piece.

Scammers often forge Big 5 publisher docs as part of their effort to get writers to part with $$. Here's how scammer Impact Press Media (dba multiple other names) tried to get one writer to pay $4000. (Name on the invoice is the real name of sales rep posing as agent "Alex Weiss") #WriterBeware

Ah, sad. RIP, Hoi Mang, “Aspirin” in YES, MADAM! Those guys were a goofy delight in that film. 📽️
RIP the multi-talented Chinese actor, director and action choreographer Mang Hoi, who died on Monday aged 65. l’m very sad: he was a warm, funny, positive presence in so many great films (the most famous being Zu:Warriors of the Magic Mountain, in which he was the 2nd lead).
