El ángulo interior de un hexágono regular es 120º.
Se puede ver como la suma de 4 ángulos inscritos de 30º, que son mitades de 4 ángulos centrales de 60º.

Parquet deformation based on hexagons. By gradually changing the size of triangles within each hexagonal tile a fading geometric pattern can be made. Sections made in Excel; colored and assembled in Krita.

Exactamente. De hecho, ese mismo procedimiento hace que se pueda teselar el plano con cualquier triángulo. Incluso con cualquier cuadrilatero (convexo o no).
