Still remember waiting for a prescription at the pharmacy, and that stupid song playing, with the same stupid line - over AND over AND over AND over again, while I stood there grinding my teeth...

Always like to see this sort of grounding to back up what the high level stats are telling us…

I always find the inconsistency of peoples approach to the war on drugs and the war on oil fascinating. Many people seem to prioritize opposition to bigness as opposed to prioritizing effectiveness

Finch LST, am I right?

My daughter recently got old enough to take bus and likes it, but finds it slow because of all the stops and wishes it could mover faster. I checked her usual routes and they average about 25km/h - and they are not express routes, just routine make every stop buses. 13.5km/h is nuts for LRT.

Even the #9, which does the same route as the #99 but makes all the stops, and which I consider a painfully slow ride, averages 16km/h.

I've kind of been nodding along to all the posts about how slow the Finch LRT will be, but this morning I actually compared it to Vancouver routes and ... wtf? The 99 B-Line, which runs along a heavily congested street with a mllion traffic lights averages over 20km/h

Actually, there is one policy that might change it, by getting to the root of the problem - banning US media and social media in Canada - but I'm not hoding my breath on that one.

I always felt that way watching Love Actually, when you get to the part where the British PM stands up to the US President.

I mean you are probably my right that the authors US background might have influenced the wording choice, PNW is more commonly used by Americans

Yeah, that cover for a wind on the door was an interesting bit of art

You are wrong (you did ask), this is research that was conducted by the author while working for UBC, in partnership with a number of Canadian gov/environmental orgs.
