Once we stopped we just never found a film that would entice us back. Sinners was the closest, but still waited for streaming.

We used to go to the movies at least twice a month. Stopped w/ covid & have never gone back. The last year was 1) expensive, even w/ matinees, 2) frequently unpleasant, with people on their phones scrolling through the film, answering calls, parents bringing little kids to an 8 rated horror movie.
