Before the tariff action, the opposition Conservatives were sure to be swept into power this spring. The tariff action ironically seems to have strengthened the Liberals somewhat. Everyone from across the political spectrum is angry at this action and willing to bear economic pain to fight back.

Ironically, one of the big election issues was how the Biden administration was supposedly withholding money from NC and GA for hurricane relief. Looks like Trump wants to actually accomplish that task.

I think in this case it’s about a sense of security. If someone cheats on their taxes cheating the IRS out of millions of dollars, that’s probably a worse crime than someone breaking into my car. And yet, I’m going to feel much worse about my car being broken into given the personal violation.
