About 24/25 percent of the country report flying on an airplane once a year. There are not that many people on SNAP. Also, air travel affects a wider portion of the economy which is why I thought the politics might be tough for some democrats once travel came into the mix.

Deriving normative conclusions (value judgments, prescriptions, or moral claims) from purely descriptive premises (statements of fact) has happened a lot over 20 years.
