I'm going to Charlotte for the weekend. I got a hotel near the Blue Line. And they shut down the Light Rail for the weekend.

What the hell, CATS?

I can't with this anymore.

I was going to get a gym membership with the new year but stuff like this makes me want to eat myself to death and have a heart attack. At least then I would be dead and the dead have no politics.

Stuff like this makes me simp for Kamala and resent Joe. Am I alone?

Once in a while between the doom and gloom and Sean Combs discourse, Threads has a banger.

The trivia app boom of the late 2010s was a magical time: HQ, Confetti on Facebook, HangTime, Joyride, CashShow, they all made life much better to swallow.

When did LeBron James turn into Chuck Barris with the bucket hat game and can we get him to host a revival of The Gong Show?

Leavitt's Ice Cream uses Richardson's, as basic a New England ice cream as one can get and probably available in multiple other places in Atkinson and adjacent towns without the dose of MAGA.

Sorry Boston/MA/NH folks, but the bar is low.

Wawa Gobbler season is supposed to last until a little past New Year's, but at least in North Carolina and Virginia it's already over.

Holy Overexpansion, Batman!

It's time for the Macy's parade, so it's time to share Macy's demands to affiliates regarding what can't air in local ad spots, h/t @rustymuck.bsky.social.

It's like Macy's knew NBC daytime in the day had a laxitive/feminine product ad airing problem, IYKYK.

Today I learned that turtles can be leches too. A tale from the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston.

I know can sometimes be a Kamala simp when things feel low, but this is a bit much. Threads being Threads as usual.

When the US collapses, do we get to hang a banner about Hillary/Kamala being the true 45/47th Presidents a la the Expos and the "Best Record in Baseball" banner at their last game?
November 25, 2025 at 2:04 AM
I have seen hell. It's name is Summerville, South Carolina.

What if we made a hybrid of Florida and Northern Virginia and nobody can drive and the planning was done by middle schoolers.

Matt just happened to fall into a game show or three with some lore (imagine if he derailed Ken early on) along the way. We'd be stuck in Mike Richards hell.

Also, I can't get over how without this swing there would've been no Quizbusters.

This summer, a now-former friend (mid 60s/M/LA, retired TV C-suiter) and I went to task multiple times as he had personal issues with Kamala Harris even though he grew up in NYC and knew "Captain Von Shitz a Lot" was worse.

This is gaslight, right? Or will the real Kamala Harris please stand up?

Nowhere near sub-1% but Blue Jays legend Danny Ainge!

Remember when the #Canes couldn't sell their souls and mortgage their kidneys for a PPG?

Times have certainly changed!

If Connecticut is such a utopia, why did the Whalers leave? Why are they constantly trolling New York on pizza and Massachusetts on basketball?

Heck, if Connecticut is a utopia, why haven't we seen a parade of people move there? I love Connecticut but it is it's own worst enemy.

Another relic found!

The 2022 NCBE Judicial Voter Guide. Not a peep from the Dem candidates for SCONC to vote for them in order to keep a Dem majority. You wouldn't see that today. #NorthCarolina #NCpol

Help me. I can't get off of that God forsaken cesspit.

Tell me you're a troll who knows nothing about politics without saying so. I doubt you've ever set foot in North Carolina, even for a layover in Charlotte.

This is at least the FIFTH right winger with such a take. #NCPol Threads is hopeless.
October 25, 2025 at 8:36 PM
Let me get this straight.
The NCGA is 71R-49D.
The NC Senate is 30R-20D.
The SCONC is 5R-2D.
The Council of State is split but the Auditor became a Shadow Governor out of spite.

But Democrats run North Carolina because the Governor is a Democrat.

Make this make sense. #NCpol

Tonight on "Ish Threads Says."

Why is it that everyone I know who is actually in New York – from Mid-Island to the Capital Region to Jamestown – lowkey miserable?

Why is it that I can't stand NYS Democrats, especially back in the 2000s, just slightly less than NC Republicans?
October 22, 2025 at 2:50 AM
We have entered nostalgia for 2010. The same 2010 in which Democrats, in a Census/redistricting year, fell asleep at the wheel, crashed the car, and gave the insurance money to the Republicans.

I miss 2010 too but, remember, Democrats sat on their hands post-ACA.

Welcome to Reverse Jinx Betting.

We have reached the point where quality of life hinges on...who owns media outlets.

Just don't look at Bristol County. We beg you. And maybe the Berkshires too.

(Does this mean Alaska, the only state without coverage from Sinclair or Nexstar, has the highest quality of life?)

That recovering news anchor was Nancy Cozean, formerly of WAST/WNYT Albany & WTZA in the Hudson Valley, later mayor of Poughkeepsie, NY.

Nancy Cozean is the only former co-anchor of Ed Dague (the guy on the left) to win an election, unlike some crazy lady from Arizona.
