The Legend.
And offside

Bobby Moore 2.0

Yes - me too.
Was very tempted to get him to name the 37 I couldn’t think of.

My trivia is that although the indoor pitch and the outdoor pitches are the same size - SP is of course 4 metres shorter than UEFA/FIFA min standard.

😂
Fascinating talk about the pathways (40 Palace Academy players have made it to first team over the years), quality of loans, the SP-inspired after-care system, age groups, teaching and education, coaching, mirroring of facilities at SP, pitch quality, pitch size…

He’s very good.
I hope we can resolve this - I fear it’s too late.

And the preparation for that winning with too small a squad would have began on 18 May, continued through the UEFA/Textor shenanigans (cf revenue expectation), and continued on a day-by-day basis throughout the summer.

Even if it meant promoting players from within.

It’s a harsh reality.
He’s an exceptional manager. I love him.
But again - if he had a few more players he could swing in (ie a decent bomb sqaud) I’m sure he would be feeling more positive. It’s amazing what a couple of wins would do this week. 🤞

Now we’re in a gun-to-head situation and I’m not certain I’d back someone who was going to piss off in four months time. Balance needed here.
December 2, 2025 at 9:35 AM
I don’t need to get into numberwang on this. Check out Swiss Ramble and Price of Football (who I was with and discussed Palace with last night) - they should help.

FWIW - I’m disappointed but am not part of the pile on.

We should have sold Guehi and Eze early and reinvested before July.

Please please please read and understand the financial accounts before playing Countdown.

And don’t forget Brazilian players.
And other investment mistakes in the convenient sums.
December 2, 2025 at 9:28 AM
… no cash till Eze sold (late).

I don’t believe OG was left out of any of those loops.
December 2, 2025 at 9:27 AM
So he says.
It’s all pantomime, isn’t it?
Hindsight o’clock kicking in full on.
No balance to any of the fan outrage at all.
Zero.
Zilch.
None.

Total memory loss as to the seriousness of last summer.

No knowledge of what competition we were due to play in (€ proceeds) till August…
December 2, 2025 at 9:27 AM
I expect he also knew that we lose £30m a year.
I expect he approves of the Pino transfer as he was involved with the switcheroo from El Khannouss.
I expect he was hands on with the Guehi situation too.

Your sums are nowhere near accurate. You’d think we hadn’t signed Lacroix, Canvot and the rest.
December 2, 2025 at 9:17 AM
Get some balance into your pile-on.
We’re all disappointing but there are many sides to this. Including not rotating fringe players in dead games.
December 2, 2025 at 8:52 AM
I suspect he discussed that the board had agreed to run this loss-making club on a sustainable basis, which would mean selling before we buy and continuing to buy quality value playing assets and nurture/improve them rather than entering the Liverpool/Chelsea-inflated market.
December 2, 2025 at 8:50 AM
That Textor was a wrong un and he was about to get us in the shit and that out of the blue we end up with a minority shareholder who is despised by every New York Jet fan and that H&B were more interested in buying Chelsea not investing in us?
December 2, 2025 at 8:50 AM
So he bloody well should.
There’s no balance imo.
(And looking at the Times today, being proved right about Textor/Maranakis and the equivocal testimony at UEFA).
December 2, 2025 at 8:46 AM
What is this delusion that H&B and WJ are the slightest bit interested in putting funds into CPFC? If they were, do you think we would have seen it by now? Yet the one who takes the pelters is the guy who holds it all together.
