Let's clarify then, do you or do you not think shelter, water, and food are human rights?

Okay? Congrats on being awake for your elementary school history class. Now explain how this justifies the needless suffering caused by capitalism.
December 21, 2025 at 2:05 AM
Why? Because you don't use them?

I use the sidebar a lot. I find it very useful. If you don't want to use it, nobody is forcing you.
December 20, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Oh no. Whatever will you do with some buttons you don't use and can easily just ignore.
December 20, 2025 at 4:44 PM
No, it fucking doesn't. I'm sitting in front of a fresh install right now, and I can open and close it all day long without the sidebar opening.

Also: I use the sidebar all the time. So maybe just deal with the fact they don't develop this browser solely for you.

Hard to answer your question when you just make shit up.
December 20, 2025 at 4:29 AM
Nobody hates Firefox more than Firefox reply guys. The meltdowns I saw on Reddit when y'all changed the padding size on tabs was insane.
December 20, 2025 at 4:28 AM
Look man, I don't use bookmarks, but I'm not out here screaming that they need to add a button to disable that.

Don't like the sidebar? Don't use it. Easy as that. Nobody is forcing you.

I used to teach a data vis class, and a section of a lecture was "use correct metrics", specifically talking about how if the numbers you have don't line up with the lived reality people experience, then you have the wrong numbers.
December 20, 2025 at 3:15 AM
I've never heard of you before, but I'm glad you used "stancilism" in the first post I've seen from you. Now I know you aren't a person to be taken seriously.
December 20, 2025 at 3:03 AM
Yeah it's side a sidebar you can pop out if you want. Otherwise it's just a button.
December 19, 2025 at 12:10 PM
They did, hence the statement.
December 19, 2025 at 12:09 PM
Okay so you know how there's people who have wheelchairs, and live alone? And they don't just hover into the chair in the morning? Because they can walk, just not long distances?

Fuck outta here, clown.
December 19, 2025 at 3:27 AM
"so long" it hasn't even be in a year lmao. Nobody is forcing you to use it either, so I dunno, just ignore it? I don't use bookmarks but I'm not gonna whine about the existence of that feature just because I don't use it.
December 19, 2025 at 1:16 AM
It is not visible by default, nor does it come back after a restart. Literally just made sure I was on the latest version to check
December 19, 2025 at 1:14 AM
"the chatbot" you mean the sidebar you don't have to use, and can easily hide the button?

"Link preview" is something I haven't seen and I use Firefox every day. So evidently it's also non intrusive.
December 19, 2025 at 12:39 AM
Firefox is not an "AI based browser" though
December 18, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Ah finally someone being honest that they're just mad about a new button they don't have to press.

This happens whenever they do anything with Firefox. I've been using it for years, and there was similar "outcries" over them adding padding to the UI.

This is the official communication channel for developers. This is the same thing.
December 18, 2025 at 5:30 PM
It's from the official dev communication account, I really don't know what you want here. The CEO made a bad statement, and a dev is clarifying.
December 18, 2025 at 5:28 PM
Your reading comprehension is lacking.

"all AI features will also be opt-in" seems pretty unambiguous to me.
All AI features will also be opt-in. I think there are some grey areas in what 'opt-in' means to different people (e.g. is a new toolbar button opt-in?), but the kill switch will absolutely remove all that stuff, and never show it in future. That's unambiguous.

December 18, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Or you could just, like, read.

December 18, 2025 at 5:19 PM
A dev told you about the feature that was already planned, and what release it's coming out in. How is that vague.
