Images like this show the necessity of proactive power shutoffs. Our aged infrastructure can only handle so much and we're not prepared for the price tag to entirely avoid it in this changing climate.

The upside of PSPS is that it helps us to recognize how valuable electric power is to our lifestyles. Having 99.9% reliable power systems makes it real easy to forget how much we really depend on it.

If we're going to play the no dual citizenship game, it should be to force H1Bs to stay here in the long run. Current conditions do not allow that though
