My child just told me he wants a “Crunch Lab Build Box…you know, from the next evolution of science YouTubers.” When I asked what the next evolution of YouTuber means he SANG to me “like Bill any the science Guy” and I didn’t have a rebuttal because that was my childhood version of science YouTube.

My child just told me he wants a “Crunch Lab Build Box…you know, from the next evolution of science YouTubers.” When I asked what the next evolution of YouTuber means he SANG to me “like Bill any the science Guy” and I didn’t have a rebuttal because that was my childhood version of science YouTube.
A much more eloquent and patient thread that aligns with my belief on these things.
This kind of thing does point out a real ethical dilemma: block or mute?

“No pan pipe playing after bedtime!!” is a new parenting phrase for me. Oldest got a 3D printer for Christmas and I’m as shocked as any that a working pan pipe was the first creation, and boy howdy, he sure loves it.

I’m gonna assume this is due to both more pedestrian friendly urban centers and better alternatives to cars for high speed travel (aka frequent and easy to use trains). Too bad most U.S. policy doesn’t care about death rates (covid, guns, pregnancy mortality, etc).
Insane but true fact: making US roads as safe as Canadian, Australian, or European roads would save more lives than eliminating murder from the US.

A week ago I had never seen an episode of #BobsBurgers. After watching all the holiday specials the last few days… I can’t believe what I’ve been missing! “You can’t even taste the baby” and Christmas magic = wine will be part of my vernacular forever more.

Working on a project and found this gem of an allowance contract between my 12 year old self and parents. My kids can hardy believe I had to do chores DAILY and pay for my own craft supplies. Noticeably absent is the amount of the allowance. Tricky tricky parents!
