Think the northern group city loop tunnel has been at 20tph-ish for the last decade, thus metro tunnel.
Clifton hill - city looks to be 19tph 8am-9am.

Fully agree with the ask for more weekend service, but I'd expect that post MM, the football fans would be able to go Town Hall (and given the faster MM travel time, it might not be much slower than a change?) This seems more like a MM tunnel disruption scenario

From outside, it seems like the department doesn't have a goal level of connectivity/service and a process which regularly assesses where the gaps are and directs changes to address it. Mostly looks like it's driven by squeaky wheels, and maybe a bit of proactiveness around CBD commuting

Seems like there are regular examples of overcrowding during off peak. Is the department using vehicle sensors to detect this? I thought at least the newer trains had passenger load counting

Chadstone really should have dedicated bus lanes that run through.

The bus is competing against taking 20+ minutes to park, it doesn't even need to be that good to compete...
