What I like about music (jazz in my case) is how people across a wide age range can make beautiful music together. Doc Cheatham was 91 years old when he recorded an album with 24 year old Nicholas Payton.

People miss Cronkite & his ilk. I hear TV news voices I find less traditional, then realize I give white Midwest-accented male voices more authority. In its early days, NPR hired more women as a cost cutting measure, giving us Stamberg, Roberts, Totenberg, & Wertheimer. I need all the new voices.
