Valve’s work on FEX is great for the Linux ecosystem.

Getting more features on Linux for ARM, even if it’s through an emulation layer, will really push the year of Linux.

Small but chonky looking.

Im hoping this starts a serious trend into small form factor PCs. Current options are too expensive and don’t quite hit the performance mark for me.

The new Steam machine looks amazing. Might be the best small form factor PC that can go up against the Mac Mini.

Yes, I’m just as confused as you.

Sucks to hear that Hytale shut down. I thought they were quietly plugging away at the game. Hytale will go down as a testament to bad project management and ambitious scope creep.

Something I didn't see people mention this week: Microsoft open-sourced a Rust remake of MS-DOS Editor.

I’ve been trying it and it’s kind of fun? Pretty intuitive and no esoteric key combo to do anything.

It’s on the simpler side, but for basic edits, it does the job.

Just heard that Microsoft made WSL open source. Which I gotta say is pretty neat stuff.

I just wonder if someone will get around to fixing all the little nits about WSL.

I just got served this video about Legos and somehow they figured out a more demeaning way to describe Millenials: kidults.

At that point just call them Millennials.

Great article by Constance Grady trying to uncover the origin of the stat that women account for 80% of fiction sales.

It’s interesting and somewhat scary that these bogus stats are used to judge people and influence policy.
So in all the discourse over how men don't read, I've noticed something weird.

All the articles about this issue say that there are multiple studies showing women account for 80% of fiction sales. But none of them link to the studies — just to each other. www.vox.com/culture/3929...
Are men’s reading habits truly a national crisis?
The questionable statistic at the heart of the “men don’t read fiction” discourse.

It’s all over, I just finished day 25 of AOC. Talk about a fun question!

Now I don’t know what to do for the next 11 months. Guess I’ll go touch grass.

Day 24 of AOC in the bag.

It was a fun one today. One of those “Just Do It” questions. And I just did it.

I just finished day 23 of AOC. Guess what? ANOTHER graph question! YAAAAAA.

I will say that it was another easy question. A node adjacency question. Quick and simple code with a bit of bodging.

Can’t wait for the penultimate day! Will it be another graph question?

AOC day 22 completed!

Talk about an easy question. I liked working on it. Just 2 brute forces.

It was mainly a reading comprehension question. Which is something I am familiar with...

I just finished Day 21 of AOC.

While it was still a graph traversal problem, at least it looked different enough.

With the past few days of AOC being a doozy. Day 18 was great!

A bit of brute-force here, a bit of brute-force there.

Day 17 of AOC was a really tricky one. Part 1 was a fine little program and then part 2 blindsided me.

It put up a good fight.

Backwards traversal was an interesting choce.
