Interesting bit of local geography on New Years Day! I’ve not seen the River Mersey this high for a long time! Awesome to see the flood defences in action and the Environment Agency doing an amazing job.

Had a great day visiting a Centre in Norwich today. Would have been criminal if I didn’t make time to visit this legendary spot! Probably wasn’t dressed appropriately for the weather! 🌊

Can’t beat a glorious November day for fieldwork! If only my own rivers field trips had always had blue skies! The appearance of cows at one site was certainly a highlight! Big thank you for UCL Academy for letting me shadow!

Had a fantastic day yesterday at FSC Flatford Mill seeing some fantastic work the Field Studies Council do to engage GCSE students with the 6 stages of fieldwork enquiry. Really looking forward to a day of rivers enquiry!
