We have lights. Does anyone know what this space is for?

“The bus lanes work too well moving the buses and the lanes are too empty as a result” is quite the take

Another day, another incorrect Link arrival board scaring riders away.

(Picture is at 10:40p and the train arrived 6 min later. About 2 min before the train arrived, it updated to show the correct times before quickly changing back to the wrong ones. I think it’s just skipping the next two)

Should I be concerned?

A nice welcome home. I just assumed these times were incorrect (because they often are) (and they were this time as well) but several people got up to the platform, saw the times and went back down ordering rideshares. The train came 4-5 min later.

Tall, residential buildings and neighborhoods next to stadiums is good. Please make more.

I’ve only been a few times, so I’m not sure I have many exciting answers but this most recent time I really enjoyed
-the Salesforce Transit Center
-Coit Tower
-Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Co
-Oracle Park
-Curry Up Now at Saluhall
-Devil’s Teeth Baking Co
-Hog Island Oyster Co at the Ferry Terminal

Dense cities are so beautiful. My phone dies every time from just walking around taking pictures. San Francisco is a very fine example.

Also your photo is an incredible building

Not to let BelRed Station have all the fun, this proposed development near Wilburton Station in Bellevue looks incredible. Would not have expected to see 46-floor towers being proposed but I love it.

Almost 1400 homes with office and commercial spaces.

Equally as exciting is another almost 1200 homes development just adjacent to BelRed station.

Between this and the above project, it’s great to see Bellevue taking advantage of TOD opportunities (even if it is after the station opens instead of before).

Great DJC reporting on the City of Bellevue apartment developments being planned for BelRed Station. I was worried that parking lot was more permanent when I went to the station opening.

Sounds like planning over 600 homes as well as retail and a “arts and culture hub”

I literally saved this post to show on here. Glad I’m not the only one witnessing the bad takes on Facebook.

As far as I can tell, the total changes still basically amount to removing the fountain and stage while making some electrical, security and planting improvements.

Changes from the last iteration seem to be keeping more of the existing stage and a curb that was around the fountain

I missed the most recent Westlake Park Improvement project in-person update.

But as far as I can tell, the already very minimal changes seems to have diminished even further with the latest update

It also looks like there’s some kind of garage entry on that roadway too. Another barrier to being bus only
September 20, 2025 at 12:54 AM
Oh I agree there’s room if they made it a bus only area but I don’t think they’re prepared to do that
September 20, 2025 at 12:37 AM
Right. I misread the roads shown as to which was actually relevant for buses.

That said, it probably doesn’t work with the current site plan that’s moving forward
September 20, 2025 at 12:31 AM
Oh, I guess that’s not what they’re showing as a bus route though.

Nevermind, yea I think the driveways shown with the dashed bus route work
September 20, 2025 at 12:29 AM
I think there would be a couple things but, most of all, the gap between the station and building doorways is pretty tight.
September 20, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Seems like they could utilize the 26th Ave S and S Forest rights-of-way to turn them into bus-only lanes with bus bays. Or even purchase some portion of the area in blue (or do some kind of land swap for the current transit center)

I’m ready for our new “Waterfront-level” civic investment project
September 19, 2025 at 9:32 PM
Besides daily users being provided no shade, having to set-up and tear-down for every event means the waterfront and park get inevitably clogged up by big trucks each time
