The Attorney General has filed 34 legal actions to protect our economy, our funding, and our communities – from defending privacy to fighting unfair federal overreach.

But Maryland isn’t standing still. The Comptroller is building tools to help businesses & nonprofits plan for these economic shocks.

Immigration enforcement is also ramping up. Since January, ICE has arrested ~1,500 people in Maryland. Six in ten had no criminal convictions – most with traffic infractions. Families are being torn apart.

Federal jobs are only 6% of our workforce but make up 10% of our wages. Losing them shakes the foundation of our economy.

Since January, Maryland has lost 13,000 federal jobs – the biggest drop in 30 years. These aren’t just numbers. They’re families, paychecks, and communities feeling the loss.
