I find that to be a shame. There are many beautiful men that may not be the epitome of what's considered a muscular man that can be just as admirable as a woman with all the right curves and shapes.

I would agree. I love the male figure as well but the curves of a woman is very pleasing to the eye. I find when photographing men I'm more focused on their muscles and brawn, not so much their curves and shapes.
