I think people are generally unaware of the less than appealing finances of the ACC and how the ND deal very much matters to their bottom line. ACC not realizing until now that this could backfire feels like why they are in this situation in the first place. Long-term outlooks not their strong suit.

As someone who has been on the train on that Curve, can confirm it's a bad idea. Way too many interested in seeing it that would cause chaos on a highway. Can just imagine how much the truck drivers that have seen it hundreds of times don't give a damn and the problems it would cause the tourists.
