Hop is my favourite early City ride because the slams instantly break boxes & crystals etc for easy buffing, and it’s both more agile than things like Battle Chariot & can take certain shortcuts, can get into or out of fights…
But late game landing the slams is WAY too hard lmao
(plus hop is cute)

I like Taranza on Rex Wheelie - great top speed & the websling ability helps with both building speed & taking corners without losing too much! Great for races & scrapping in City Trial.
Honourable mention to Hop Star though as an all rounder!

I think Kawazaki needs to hang with Dedede & Rick, and Taranza deserves a tier of “girlypop (but hasn’t figured it out yet)”

Interesting to see these thoughts! I mostly play Taranza for races but favour Meta Knight in City Trial myself, because I found web sling & his special underwhelming, but your explanation makes me think maybe I need to give them another go. That said, Meta Knight is really, really good, so I agree.
