For reasons that have become obscure to our family, we don't have a microwave, and when I neecd to heat up the morning's coffee, I have to put in a pan and then ladle it back into my cup, which makes me realize that coffee is I suppopse a kind of soup.

I realize this is probably a "me" problem, but I don't enjoy people just shooting the breeze on hours-long podcasts. Even people who are talented breeze shooters. The cratered media landscape has more or less reinvented drive-time radio, fuzzed out background noise.
