Reminds me of the Commodore Amiga interface
It started over 50 years ago with Gen X. We were the first generation to grow up while integration was being implemented. After the Civil Rights, they no longer had the open cheat codes & had to compete & they hated it. They voted to bring back the "good ole days" they never lived in.

They also grew up in households & education systems that didn't properly develop their pattern recognition, critical thinking, & research skills. Give them something w/o a basic interface or instructions & they quickly give up on figuring it out. 2/2
