The problem is that polls aren't exactly a new feature. Most platforms had them in like 2004. You'd think implementing them would be super easy and not being competitive like that is a big mark against bluesky.

Like, clicking through is easy and intuitive. From my experience on instagram if I get five likes there thats like one person actually bothering to vote when its one extra step. Adding two steps for the same vote on a smaller account basically kills the vote.

I think if I was a big account or had a lot of traffic here sure. But when 5 likes is a lot its a genuine concern.

That and other things like having a way to view uploaded media in galleries for comics. If I make a poll its generally to let the audience participate in the events of that comic.

The problem is having an easy to click option gives way way more engagement than expecting people to write out replies. Like 10x more. Sometimes you just want to ask a question with a quick illustration or brief prompt for on reason or another.
