To satisfy my curiosity, I used www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cdo-web/search to export highs and lows at Memphis International since 1940, and found this. That's 17 lows at or below 0F in 85 years. Does that sound right to you? I do see that -2 record for 1/26.

Interesting. There's also `rawValue()` (bypass any casts on the column) and `soleValue()` (ensure there is exactly one record in the results). I kind of like the other method better for readability, though.
