On Saturday, I learned that I have a distant cousin who was an associate justice on SCOTUS from 1914 to 1941. Today, I found a cousin who murdered someone.

You never know what you may find day to day in #genealogy! #GenHour

A story in 3 screenshots. This is one of the things Fed employees are dealing with now. Constant threats to their jobs.

My 3rd ggfather Joseph Haberstroh (1843-1927) came to the U. S. in 1848 from Hecklingen, Freiburg, Baden. He fought in the Civil War but wasn’t an officer as this painting suggests. He borrowed this uniform for the painting. 😂

I was able to break the wall finding his parents -Andreas & Maria Josefa

Popping on real quick. We had predictions of ice in Springfield IL but plenty of people showed up from around the state. I can only imagine how many more would have come without ice warnings.

I’m heading to this on Wednesday. These are going in at every state capitol. Who else will be protesting on Wednesday.

Okay, #BookSky These are the books I read in January! The one that has impacted me most is Kindred by Octavia Butler. I'm convinced she is Dana. That's how good it is! But I enjoyed most of these books.

For those upset that House Dems are not meeting until tomorrow, please keep in mind that most were at their constituencies right now. They’re traveling back to DC to meet.

But we need to call them and any GOP reps people have. Here is a script for you even tho wording isn’t as important as calling

This is insane. Federal employees aren’t safe. They can’t even trust that the emails they are receiving are from the govt.

It turns out SHE knew who her birth parents were. Ruth was likely born while their mother was at a mental health facility (County Farm) & given up for adoption. She was separated from her husband at the time (later divorced). When brother William died, Ruth was mentioned in the obit. #genealogy

Bragger. I didn’t get asked once. I ended up asking a friend to go as my date.

Messages I get from my teenager in the morning while I’m at work tend to be like this! Please note that she sent her message at 8:06. I responded 10 minutes later. #parenting

Is this you? Because this is why you are getting ratioed so badly. I don’t even follow Jamelle. There was no misunderstanding. You told a bunch of people to fuck off with zero explanation or argument.

You wanted to get noticed by quoting him. Well, you got noticed. 🤷🏻‍♀️
