I fear that our communities could become less open due to the pressures that genAI is putting on us. That is for me the biggest challenge we are facing and we need to carefully think of the consequences of our measures to counteract AI without forgetting core values (i.e., openness, inclusiveness).

Some reflections:
- Preprint authors care about their research being used and cited. genAI models train on preprints w/o always citing them.
- As a screening affiliate, I am sometimes pushed to being more conservative in what we accept due to the misuse of preprints by LLMs to output medical advise.

This is very useful and clarifies many things to me. I recently feared that I had been too late to "preregister" a SR even when I had shared my protocol changes from the exploratory phases. It made no sense to me to "preregister" something that would definitely change based on the pilots' results.
