"don't cross the picket line" is a phrase that basically means "show solidarity with the people who are striking"

I could get into all the etymology of why the phrase is what it is, but that's the tldr of it

oh, i wasnt making a joke - Starbucks workers are currently in one of the biggest strikes in company history. I'm just saying like, "do not be tempted by a new menu item! do not buy Starbucks during the strike!"
