The largest U.S. basic income study found $1k/mo. reduced work just by 1.3 hrs/wk. Recipients didn't stop working - they just became more selective about jobs. At $250/mo., the BOOST Act's employment effects would be even smaller.

Auchincloss made their shared priority clear: shift the focus to insurance design rather than gov't price-setting for drugs. This is the same congressman who took $815k from Big Pharma and led the fight against Medicare durg price negotiation in 2021 using industry talking points, word-for-word.

When Auchincloss introduces the CAP Act, his office explicitly cited NLPB's research to justify it. Notice what the bill does: it caps patient copays but doesn't touch drug prices or allow gov't negotiation.
