I agree. Kobold Press is out here doing great work, and if you aren't in for ToV, at least using it as supplements to 5E is worth it.

Yes, there are issues, but I've seen too many cases of people homebrewing free things and then wondering why there are few "optimal choices." Because you designed your homebrewed game for that. You DMs run combat heavy games, you let people get things for free, and DMs say yes to everything.

"Optimal Choice" is because useful features are usually homebrewed out from being useful. Take for example letting players do things for free (e.g. Study for free instead of as an Action). Now Keen Mind becomes less useful. Further, Min Maxers are only maximally useful if DMs cater soley to them.

Are you just talking about the Battle at the Bowl? That's a one-shot live play. I'm referring to the next campaign, like Cloudward, Ho! or one of the side seasons. Campaigns are much much different than one-shot live plays. Campaigns are longer, and played in the dome. Completely different.

Ayda Aguefort is SUCH a wonderful character on so many levels. Probably my favorite NPC in FH if not D20. Every scene with her was wonderful.
