Yup! It’s even advantageous to sometimes switch between them to get more coins and more choices for bonus cards.

Wouldn’t be the first time architecture was inspired by third base and home base. You and I both know phallic architecture is as old as civilization itself. Hell, the Greco-Roman’s even have a well-endowed god (Priapus) enough to give Zeus dick-envy—probably did.
