I’m running out of adjectives to describe how beautiful these days are on the Oregon Coast Trail.

And tonight, the sunset in Lincoln City left me speechless.

A whisper carried on the wind of the Oregon Coast trail tickles my ears. Sort of a high-pitched excited voice that introduces itself by saying “ITSA MEEE!”

It says if I eat these I’ll turn into Super Mario. I don’t believe it 😂

White crowned sparrow sighting! I LOVE this bird’s song — it’s been keeping me company all along the Oregon Coast Trail!

I am overwhelmed by so much beauty around me.

As of yesterday, I’ve hiked 59.5 miles of the Oregon Coast Trail! Every mile has been aggressively beautiful. It’s been inspiring, invigorating, epic.

Random non-hiking moment from the Oregon Coast Trail: getting real Tillamook Marionberry Pie ice cream at Suzy’s Scoops in Cannon Beach!

Goodnight, Oregon coast. Thank you for getting another perfect day.

OK, this is rad! Oregon, you keep winning!

All of this scenery within an hour of walking. yesterday’s hike up and over Tillamook Head was muddy, tiring, and worth every step.

Memorable conversations with people on the trail, and stunning My love affair with Oregon grows deeper every day.

I can’t wait to start blogging about this adventure.

Next stop Hug Point.

I will sleep now. I will sleep like a brick.

Ok Oregon, you’re really winning me over. Owner of Sleepy Monk Coffee in Gearhart was incredibly kind to me, and a lady walking her dog strolled by , saw my pack, and asked if I needed anything.

Day 2 has been wonderful. 13 miles down, 3 to go.

Day 2 on the Oregon Coast Trail: ditching the shoes and embracing the sand.

Roughly 13 miles today on this stunning stretch of beach.

The enormity of what I’m about to do feels daunting. The anxiety of the unknown mixes with the excitement of adventure, and it’s hard not to start spiraling.

Maybe it’s biting off more than I can chew, but I feel driven to take this journey as far as I can.

I start Oregon Coast Trail tomorrow!
