This week I launched afrikaansgpt.com, it took me 9 hours. My friend asked me to build it for him.

Every week I take 1 day, and launch something silly and simple. It has to solve either my or my friends problems. That's it. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Been away for a while. Went to my best friends wedding in South Africa.

Going to the Kruger National Park feels kind off like navigating life, you know what you want to see, but there is no guarantee you will see it, you just have to hop on, give it a shot and believe you made the right decisions.

I just launched an affordable feedback tool that doesn't cost $200/m.

Why?
Cannot afford +$600+ of feedback tools every 4 months
I really need user feedback, to build better products

You can view my demo over here: www.loom.com/share/16b472...

Is it common for startup founders to just go into hiding when things go to shit?

I’ve realised that they are quick to point fingers when things are not in a good state, seems to be easier than to be transparent and actually fix things.

Bullshit mentally, effects people downstream far too much.

Getting user feedback should not be scary

I’ve been skeptical about my app arbimate.co not providing accurate information for arbitrage opportunities, however, my user feedback is telling me otherwise.

There’s A LOT of improvements to be made, now that the idea is validated.

How do I avoid burnout?

Work on something else. Worked on a project for 12 hours straight, cool. Take a break by building something you’ve always wanted to build for the next 3 hours, you’ll want to continue after.

Just saved $60/month, and it only cost me 1 all nighter

Launching soon 🚀👀

My secret sauce for launching quick and superior products is completely free

@convex.dev (The backend that’s more reliable than my sleep schedule)

@clerk.com (Making auth so easy, my rubber duck is unemployed)

#stripe (Because ramen isn’t free, and neither are my apps)

I built a feedback tool that doesn’t cost $200/m!

Why?
- I cannot afford to pay $680 every 4 months to gather feedback from my users.
- I jump around projects too much, and I need to know what users really want and whether they agree with me.

Can’t afford to pay, but really need it? Msg me!
CheapFeedback
