The first recorded earthquake by Europeans in California was in 1769 during the Gaspar de Portolá exploration. A 2002 study puts forward that mighty jolt might have been caused by The San Joaquin Hills Fault in south Orange County.

In 1963 the original Los Angeles MTA proposed a public transit rail-line from Long Beach to North Hollywood. In 2026, the LAMTA finally approved a public transit rail tunnel from The SFV to West L.A. It's needed, but this is likely going to face many delays and lawsuits, and go over budget.

As much of the nation braces for extreme cold and snow, over in Los Angeles they're dealing with their own weather emergency with daytime temperatures forecast to not rise above 66f degrees.

For those of us who grew up in Los Angeles and Southern California they're two dates burned into our memory: April 29, 1992, and, January 17, 1994.

In the "Vanity Fair" interview Susie Wiles say that Trump is in the Epstein files saying Jeffrey and Trump were "playboys," but Donald did "nothing awful." That suggests he certainly did something.

These sunny 80-85 degree days (and mild nighttime temperatures) here in Southern California just a couple weeks before Christmas simply do not feel right. I wonder if in 1944 Downtown Los Angeles at 12th and Broadway they felt the same way about snow falling?
