I started a novel. I'm excited, I'm nervous, and beyond proud of myself. This will be a Southern literary novel about two boys, long summers, and an abandoned trailer, and how faith plays a part in shaping identity and desire.

I made a decision last January that I was going to try and read 70 books this year. I ended up reading 90! Almost all of these books are from the genre or genres I'd like to explore in my own writing. I've completely fallen in love with words all over again.
