That would be interesting. I like the stances setup, as it already deemphasizes combat a lot, while still leaving it tactical, but I could definitely see some sort of tug-of-war mechanic like Night's Black Agents chase mechanics or something along those lines.

Top 5 system of all time for me, easily. Its not only a great set of rules just as they are, but it has some nice mechanisms to reinforce Tolkien's themes, allowing player choices to trigger Turin/Thorin/Boromir style falls naturally, make elves feel appropriately tragic, etc.

100% Gandalf drops so much wisdom throughout, but that one has always spoken deeply to me.
