Seven years ago, when I lived in Ballard, I was walking down 65th St in the middle of the day when something caught my eye. I turned to look. And when I turned back around, I nearly bumped into a German Shepherd-sized raccoon. He just looked at me, like, What do you want? He casually walked away.

It's not an audiobook.

I'm using the Review function in Microsoft Word to read it back to me, word by word, something I always do with my shorter work, but haven't fully utilized with a novel. I'm glad I did!

Forty chapters took a little over a month to listen to and rewrite as I went.

Some Americans debate “common sense gun laws.” Here’s the best one I’ve heard yet: No Private Ownership of Guns.

The pros? No more mass shootings.

The cons? Can't think of one.

I don't need a gun. Neither do you.

You shouldn't be able to purchase an AR-15 anywhere.

Trump should be sentenced and remanded to custody immediately. He was, in case everyone forgot, convicted in a court of law by a jury—a jury whose members were selected by the defense and prosecution teams.

Two questions:

Why are we paying Congress during a federal shutdown?

How quickly would they iron things out, if they weren’t getting paid? If their fabulous health insurance had been revoked?

I’ll tell you. There would be no government shutdowns. Not even for a day.
