“Who Said I Was a Wizard?”

Character art I made for a D&D campaign I’ve joined after another one ended. Roan is very old school wizard coded (with a touch of druid). Portraying a witty grandfather and former farmer thrust into a dungeon crawl amid a party of otherwise young adults is good fun.

I don't know if we had a couple of fat raccoons, a bear, or Stephen King last night, but someone really wanted to get into our bird suet...

AND FAILED!

These Lifelong Feeders are truly the best! Had 'em for years. We need a new pole, but I could fight off ninjas with these feeders, nunchaku-style!

“Lonely Planet”

My October #SciFanSat cover art for the issue coming out this Saturday. I made this in December of last year, and the composition and subject were perfect for our “Moon” theme this month. It’s inspired by my memory of sitting on an icy cliff in the woods as a boy, lonely but awed.

My September #SciFanSat cover art for the issue coming out this Saturday. I loved the escape school provided me from my dysfunctional family as a child, and hated the abuse I got there from peers that almost became my supervillain origin. Almost.

Fearsome masks also conceal pain.

My wife snapped this photo of a dragonfly warming themselves on the handrail of our steps this morning. Wonderful creatures. We've had many flitting around our home since summer, and they are the best mosquitoe control around.
