Random question - any recommendations for Renaissance ttrpgs?
There's 7th Sea (which I do love) but it seems to be floating on its own as a major setting for the 14th c to the 17th c. And there's the odd French Revolution/Musketeers based one.
Anyone got any others?

Sooooo... 7th Sea but exclusively set in Vodacce with its Medici vibe. Mix in Dune houses and secret assassinations. Garnish with running scion street battles a la Romeo'n'Juliet or more likely West Side Story. Venetian canals are passe - Vodaccean sky bridges are cool...

5: Laurel
I wrote all my Christmas cards with this. Shiny yet functional.
4: Celestial Skies.
I do have Emeraude De Chivor in a daily writing pen and this will be a fine replacement.
3: Molten Basalt
The ink so odd I want to write something specifically for it.

A quite desaturated dark teal with a vaguely dark purple sheen. It's supposed to have a turquoise shimmer which is there at the bottom of the bottle but I couldn't see any on the page. Bit disappointing
Happy Christmas/applicable solstice holiday of choice everyone!

A muted medium brown that lives up to its name. Really feels like 'deer coloured'. It is a pigment so I'm a little wary but it was very well behaved in the pen.

A bright sky blue ink with sky blue sparkle. Contrary to the photos (which are dreadful today) it is very legible as a writing ink and looks lovely on the page.

An extremely bright yellow ink with a gold sparkle. Totally impractical for writing with but the artists should have an interesting time with this one

A lovely magenta purple ink with a green sheen that's visible but not overpowering. Absolutely my jam. Possibly my favourite so far - even knocking Molten Basalt off the top spot.

A bright orangy red ink with and orange shimmer. The shimmer is almost impossible to photo (especially on foggy days like today with very flat light) and isn't visible irl except for certain angles where it jumps out.

A neutral blue-grey ink with enough punch to be usable for everyday writing. Unintentionally ironic as today is the first non-overcast day for weeks.

A dark green ink with a pink sheen. Or in most lights pink sheen with the tiniest amount of green ink below.
This is what I am here for.

A bright lilacy purple, much more vibrant than it looks on the photos which are suffering from 'gestures outside at the torrential rain'.

A deep, rich burgundy ink with a shimmer of both gold and metallic green. Much more vibrant than Nostalgia.

A gorgeous deep blue ink with a bronze shimmer that pops out of the page. Even in today's terrible light it just shines
This is what I had hoped last year's Baltic Breeze would have been. I love it intensely.

A sugary pink pigment ink.
By itself it's quite adorable on the Rhodia swatch but on my full page test on Clairfontaine it bled the lines on the paper so badly I washed it out of the pen straight away. If it dissolves ink on the paper I don't want to risk pen seals

THIS is the kind of ink I love Inkvent for. It's so unusual. A complex blue-grey with a golden brown sort of sheen in the shadows where it pools. This is definitely going into rotation in my daily pens.

Well now I know what I'll be writing my Christmas cards with this year. A lovely bright gold which is practically all shimmer.

A sea blue ink with a nice amount of blue/green shimmer. I have so many things I could use this for. Think it's going in a dedicated pen for a while once inkvent is over

A minty vibrant green. Much brighter than it looks in the photos (oh, the weather and light is terrible here today).

To quote Steinski And The Mass Media - 'Look at that shine!'
Dark teal ink (darker than vibe) with a magenta sheen. Glorious. But I am a complete sucker for the sheens

A delicate pastel peach ink with some yellow in the shadows in bright light. Worryingly it did seem to make the blue lines on my notepaper bleed into it when I did a full text page test

A muted dark green ink that in normal Yorkshire weather is a bit flat to photo but under the sunlight bulb has great sparkle.

A rusty orange ink warming with yellow tones and vaguely green spectra in the dried edges.
Looks pretty but functional.
